You spend a lot of time at work. If you work a 40 hour per week job, one-third of your week is spent at work, even more when you consider commuting time. Do you ever feel like you are the “third wheel” at work, that you don’t quite fit in? Does your faith suffer at work? Do you sometimes feel compromised? In our text, we read where Daniel and three of his friends were captive to their work…literally…yet God blessed them. So, how do you navigate being a Christ-Follower in a not so Christian environment?
Series Information
The term Babylon is synonymous with a “pagan” culture, or non-Christian territory. Babylon in the O.T. was considered the enemy, the people who defeated the Israelites and made them exiles in a strange and foreign land that was not their home. In the same way, Christian believers who desire to live as children of God are feeling the effects of living in a changing post-Christian, even anti-Christian America.
