What is the FAith Endowment Fund?

Established in 2018 by the Faith Leadership Board to help ensure the continuation of the mission and ministry of Faith for generations to come, the Endowment Fund will allow the continued support of missions and education and capital projects well into the future.

Purposes of the Endowment Fund

The world keeps changing and ministry needs to change as well. The Endowment Fund is money raised today for uses not yet known in the future.

The Endowment Fund is restricted and can only be spent for the purposes established by the Leadership Board and the Endowment Team:

Education- this is defined as tuition assistance for students wishing to attend a Lutheran grade school, high school, college/university, or seminary

Missions- to support ongoing and new activities to connect people to the extraordinary love of Jesus locally, across the country, or around the world

Capital Needs- to help provide for ongoing needs for campus improvements and equipment to assist in carrying out Faith’s mission and ministry

Undesignated- to support, subject to limitations, previously unplanned ministry needs or activities

Why should I give to the Endowment Fund?

The Endowment Fund was established so Faith’s mission and ministry can continue for generations to come. Our neighborhoods and communities will continue to be transformed as a result of generous givers.

The Fund was not established with an end date; in other words, it will prayerfully last until Christ returns. Generations of Christians and those yet to be reached will reap the benefits of your generosity long after you have joined Jesus in heaven.

As a church, we have been blessed by God in so many ways. Over the years we have been challenged by God and have discovered many things about ourselves. One of the things we have learned over and over again is that God has blessed us as we have learned to generously bless others. We encourage you to pray about a gift to the Endowment Fund.

GIVE TO THE ENDOWMENT FUND

FAQs

WHAT EXACTLY IS AN ENDOWMENT FUND?

This specially created fund will provide additional monies for mission and ministry dollars at Faith which are not included in the general ministry budget. The Endowment Fund is a restricted fund much like your personal IRA or 401k. Donations are invested and earnings are spent to grow ministry and missions. Generations of Faith family members will benefit from your generosity.

CAN THE FUND BE USED FOR WHATEVER NEEDS ARISE?

No. Funds can only be used for purposes outlined in the Statement of Purpose in the Fund Policies. The Fund’s uses include: education, missions, capital improvements, and unplanned needs.

DOES THE FUND EARN INTEREST?

YES! The larger the fund balance, the greater the earning potential as the interest is reinvested.

WHO OVERSEES THE FUND?

The Faith Leadership Board has appointed qualified Faith family members to oversee the Faith Endowment Fund.

HOW MUCH CAN THIS ENDOWMENT FUND HELP?

The larger the fund's balance, the larger the return we receive. Think of it this way: Imagine we have $1 million invested. We should be able to spend $20,000 - $30,000 on ministry and mission every year without reducing the balance. That would go a long way in funding the mission and ministry of Faith for generations to come!

HOW DO I GIVE TO THE ENDOWMENT FUND?

Simple. You can give by any of the following means.
