How are you doing? Really, how are you doing? How are you learning to cope with all the internal conflict and tension you are experiencing - perhaps from the ongoing threat of the pandemic or the sadness felt as a result of the racial tensions? Today Pastor John begins a new series titled Living in Babylon. What is Babylon? Do we actually live in Babylon or find ourselves tempted by all that Babylon-ness has to offer? Why does it feel like it's becoming more difficult to live as a faithful follower of Jesus Christ? Lots of questions. May God give us some answers through His Word!
Series Information
The term Babylon is synonymous with a “pagan” culture, or non-Christian territory. Babylon in the O.T. was considered the enemy, the people who defeated the Israelites and made them exiles in a strange and foreign land that was not their home. In the same way, Christian believers who desire to live as children of God are feeling the effects of living in a changing post-Christian, even anti-Christian America.
