Today we continue our summer series focusing on four movies that have been remade. These are movies with meaning that allow us to see and hear the Gospel/Good News narratives play out. Today’s movie is no different. The Lion King is a movie that has stood the test of time. (The original came out 25 years ago!) Mufasa’s question rings out for all of us to ponder, “Do you remember who you are?” Let’s discover who the true Lion King is and what it means to be His subjects!

What is it about movies that captivates you, that draws you in, and makes you want to enter into the world it creates? As a church we think movies are one of the places that our culture finds it’s pack, escapes to a whole new world, and is reminded of many of the “good things” of life.
