Tonight we are continuing in our message series talking about the radical sayings of Jesus, and this passage is no exception... it is radical. I want to walk through this text, verse by verse by verse… but just looking at the first three verses in particular, verses 49-51. As we look at these three verses I want us to focus on three things that correlate to the three verses: punishment, passion and peace. So let’s dig in.
