When we think of Pentecost we think of a New Testament Celebration, yet this "Festival" was commanded by God in the Old Testament. Pentecost is the birth date of the church. Thousands of people were in Jerusalem for the Pentecost Celebration and the Holy Spirit appeared in the midst of them.

As Luther says, "it is the Holy Spirit that Calls me by the Gospel..." The Holy Spirit did call these people, and they answered by taking the Gospel home with them to share with others.
