Have you ever felt like you aren’t strong enough, smart enough, or good enough? Chances are, you have. In fact, maybe you’re feeling that way right now. The good news is that you aren’t alone in that. In Judges 6 and 7, we learn about a man named Gideon. Gideon lived in a time when Israel’s enemies were surrounding their land. Gideon was hiding when an angel came to him and told him that God wanted Gideon to go to battle and rescue Israel from their enemies. Like many of us, Gideon’s first reaction was to focus on all of his own incompetencies. But what happens when we rely on God’s power, instead of our own abilities? God’s power changed Gideon’s story, and it will change ours, too.
