God’s Power is Bigger Than Our Fears
When we focus on our fears, they will begin to seem larger to us than they actually are. In fact, when fear is left unchecked, it can even become a false god in our lives. Yet, God’s power is bigger than all of our fears. Our fears shrink when we focus on Him. In this message, we dive into Numbers 13, where twelve spies are sent into the land of Canaan, which God has promised to the Israelites. Ten frightened spies return and tell God’s people that they cannot take possession of the land, since the inhabitants are too strong and powerful. The other two spies, Joshua and Caleb, had faith that God would lead them into the land that was promised to them. Why did Joshua and Caleb act in faith instead of fear? How can God’s power overcome the fears we face today?
