We tend to remember firsts, don’t we? Like the first time you rode a bike. The first time you experienced a new vacation destination. The first time you ate a steak (maybe!). Or the first time you drove or bought a car. Your first date. First girlfriend or boyfriend. Your first kiss. Okay, there are lots of firsts in our lives. The reason we remember our firsts is because they are significant. They often signify the beginning of what is to come. Each first has the potential to develop and grow into something more. It’s the same way with firsts in the Bible. Today Pastor John kicks off our Firsts series, laying down some foundational firsts God’s children are called to believe, as we learn what it means to Seek FIRST Jesus’ kingdom and all that is right.
