Maundy Thursday
A New Command
John 13:1-35
What does “Maunday” mean? It comes from the Latin term “mandata” which means “command.” On this night, Jesus celebrated His final passover meal with the disciples, washed their feet, and revealed He would love them until the end before he experienced betrayal on this night. Jesus also gave a new command: love one another. What does that mean for us some 2000 years later? May God speak to us through His word and allow us to receive His grace through communion.
