On Sundays in the season of Lent, our message will focus on the whole armor of God, where Apostle Paul paints a powerful picture of the Christian life as a spiritual battle, calling believers to stand firm against the forces of evil by putting on the full armor of God. It reminds us that, as followers of Jesus Christ, we are engaged in a daily struggle, not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual powers of darkness. Each piece of armor - the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, wrapped in protective prayer - equips believers to resist the enemy's schemes and remain steadfast in their faith. Understanding and applying this spiritual armor is crucial for living a victorious Christian life in a world filled with deception, temptation, and opposition.
It’s no surprise that Jesus used lots of questions to teach his disciples - and us! What questions do you have for God? What questions are people asking today? Are we prepared to answer? How can we answer those questions with discernment and truth, and without judgment?
There is nothing like the power of hearing or watching a good story unfold, especially when it’s a movie that etches images and memories into our minds. Some of us have memories of movies that effectively catapult us into the past, the future, or even the reality of the struggles and hassles we feel each day in the present. This year, we are revisiting some of the stories shared in movies and how they connect to biblical truths.
How we live out our lives either worships God, something or someone else, or even ourselves. When God is worshipped, He is glorified, and it is for our good. When we put ourselves or something else first instead of God, God isn't glorified, and it is to our harm.
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, which originated in the early Christian Church. As a sign of repentance, Christians would sprinkle ashes on his or her head. In the Bible, ashes were always associated with humility and mortality, fasting and remorse.

When we look around at the culture we live in, we see a lot of anger and polarization. How can the truth of the Gospel break into a culture that casts so much doubt on any claim to truth? How can the Gospel transform our own lives as we are bombarded with these messages from culture?
Merry Christmas! Happy birthday to Jesus! It’s safe to say that on Christmas we want to hear “good news of great joy” and experience a “silent night.” Of course, there’s “joy to the world” because the Lord has come! But… there is a darker side of Christmas.
