Succession Planning Update:

  • Transition Team formed in March to identify process and timeline for Lead Pastor transition - work completed
  • Per existing policy, the Leadership Board has formed a Call Committee with representation from the congregation, staff, Executive Team and Board, including some from the Transition Team.
  • Call Committee: Norb Lackner, Troy Bixler, Jill Hudson, James Dumont, Luane Guyton, Lisa Chenot, Dave Caito.

From now – December, the Call Committee will:

  1. Compile a list of potential candidates
  2. Initiate and complete the review process, led by the job description provided by the Board
  3. Propose a recommended candidate to the Leadership Board

January – June 2025:

  • Board to convene a special congregational meeting to issue call
  • Pastoral candidate is issued a call to become Lead Pastor Elect; candidate makes decision
  • Pastor John and Lead Pastor Elect begin working together to finalize transition plan and establish timing

July 2025:

  • Official baton pass to Lead Pastor Elect

August – December 2025:

  • Pastor John leave of absence and retirement celebration
