Who will benefit from the Stomp Out Addiction Walk?
All proceeds benefit PreventEd.
What is the cost? What does it include?
Cost is $30 for adults (ages 12 and up); $15 for children ages 5 – 15. All paid participants receive a Stomp Out Addiction Walk t-shirt and refreshments.
Do I need to register my child?
Yes, if you’d like your child to receive a t-shirt (child sizes S, M, L, XL).
Where does the walk begin and end?
The walk begins at Faith Oakville's parking lot (6101 Telegraph Road). We will continue onto the Cliff Cave Trail for 1 mile, turn around, and end at Faith.
Where do I park?
Park at Faith Oakville. Enter from Telegraph or Erb Roads, and Faith parking attendants will direct you.
What time should I arrive?
Check-in begins at 8:30 am. A Celebration Service is in the Worship Center at 9 am. The walk begins at 10 am.
Will food or drink be available?
Refreshments will be provided.
What if I want to take part but can't walk?
If you’re not walking, but would still like a t-shirt, you should register. Instead of walking, plan to "hang out" and talk with others before they leave and as they return from the walk.
What if it rains?
The SOA Walk will be held rain or shine. If weather is not conducive to an outdoor event, activities will be moved indoors. Additional information will be communicated via email, faithoakville.org, FaithOakville app, and Facebook no later than 7 am on the day of the walk, October 1.
Will Faith have Sunday worship that morning?
Yes. We will have a Celebration Service in the Worship Center at 9 am that includes songs, a short message, and blessings on the day.
Will resources and information be available regarding next steps?
Yes! PreventEd will be available to answer questions and resource both individuals and families. Other groups will also be represented on the day of the walk.
