My Story

I am passionate about connecting the disconnected and helping people translate the unchanging Gospel to an ever-changing world. I live this passion out through preaching, teaching, and training the next generation of disciple makers, church planters, and ministry leaders. I am the Founder and Director of the Kairos Network. My wife Liza and I have three boys: Brooks, Samuel Rex, and Reece.

I graduated from Truman State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications Journalism and from Concordia Seminary in 2009 with a Master's of Divinity. I am the first graduate of the Mid-South District Church plant training center, founder of The Point in Knoxville, TN, and founder of the Mid-South's second church plant training center, The Point. I received the Fred E. Lietz Mission and Ministry Award in 2012. I was the Senior Pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgewood, NJ, from 2017-22, and am currently the founder and director of The Kairos Network.
