My Story
I’m passionate about helping people who feel far from God discover the hope and joy of Jesus. That passion has shaped my life and ministry, from preaching and teaching to training the next generation of disciple makers, church planters, and ministry leaders.
Early in ministry, I helped launch The Point in Knoxville, TN—a church dedicated to connecting the disconnected to Jesus. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of starting new training centers and walking alongside leaders through The Kairos Network as they step out in faith to reach their communities.
I studied Mass Communications and swam at Truman State University before earning a Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary. Through each chapter of ministry—from planting churches, to serving as senior pastor in Ridgewood, NJ, to developing new training pathways—God has continued to grow in me a deeper love for the church and for those who don’t yet know Him.
My wife, Liza, and I feel blessed to live in St. Louis near my parents, brother, and sister-in-law, and our nieces and nephews. We’re raising three boys—Brooks, Samuel Rex, and Reece—who keep life full of joy and adventure. When we’re not pouring into ministry or training leaders, you’ll find us exploring new spots in St. Louis, camping, hiking, cheering at youth sports, or simply hanging out with family and friends.
