Faith Staff

Hello! I am Jacob Scheler and I have the privilege to serve as the Student Ministry Coordinator at Faith Oakville. I am currently also in the Master of Divinity Program (M. Div.) at Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri. It is such a blessing to be asked to serve part-time on staff at Faith and connect students to Jesus.

I completed my undergrad at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL with a B.S. in Biology and a double minor in Marine Biology and Business. After a year of looking at graduate programs and trying to discern God’s call on my life; I accepted God’s call into His ministry first at Hope on the Beach Church. I started the SMP (specific ministry pastor) program in the Spring of 2019 and then transferred into the M. Div. program in St. Louis in August of 2021.  I enjoy the opportunities to minister and meet with Students as I encourage them to walk with Christ!

I was born in Boca Raton, FL, so I claim I am a Florida native, and with that title, saltwater runs through my veins. I love spending my free time fishing, hanging out on the beach, paddle boarding, and just about anything else that includes a body of water. Some of my other interests are spending time with my family, cooking, working out at the gym, playing soccer, volleyball, and golf, and getting creative with building new things. I am still getting used to the Midwest and am excited to try my hand at bass fishing and hunting.
