I was born in Chicago but spent most of my life here in the Lou. I was raised in a Christian home and attended parochial schools during my childhood, but I don't consider my relationship with Christ was deeply personal at that time. Still, those experiences provided a good foundation as I began to question life, its purpose, the world, and religion during my undergraduate and graduate studies in engineering. Christianity had always been a part of my life and seemed to provide good guidance for how to live. It did not become integral to my life until I started to question it and search for alternatives: first intellectually, then spiritually. Once I determined that Christianity is true and defensible from an intellectual perspective, I began to allow Christ into my life. Oh my - how convicting yet liberating that felt. There was shame and a sense of how foolish I had been accompanied by warmth and purpose.

Every day now is a step in my journey with Christ. Many times I feel like my steps are incredibly small or even backwards, but these are often followed by leaps and bounds, not through anything that I've done (except maybe getting out of the way), but through what Christ is doing around and within me. And Faith has been and continues to be, a significant resource for Christ's use in my life. My wife, Amanda, and I along with our three children (Gabe, Alexa, and Blake) are thankful to call Faith our church home.
