Cyril Loum is a two-time founder, entrepreneur, educator, and venture development leader passionate about building Kingdom entrepreneurs who create businesses that glorify God and transform communities. As Manager of Venture Development at the Skandalaris Center at Washington University in St. Louis, Cyril developed founders, entrepreneurship programs, and helped innovators move from idea to scalable venture. Throughout his career, he has mentored thousands of entrepreneurs, designed startup accelerators, led venture competitions, and taught entrepreneurship at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Drawing from his own experience as a founder, Cyril has worked alongside entrepreneurs across industries to refine business models, validate markets, prepare investor-ready pitch decks, and secure non-dilutive funding and investment opportunities. He has guided founders in pursuing grants, pitch competitions, accelerator programs, and private investment, helping ventures access the capital needed to launch and grow.
Before entering higher education, Cyril founded and led a venture serving immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities, and launched initiatives in affordable housing, workforce development, and social enterprise. His work has consistently focused on equipping leaders to create lasting economic and social impact.
Driven by a deep Christian faith, Cyril believes entrepreneurship is a calling and one of the most powerful ways to advance God's Kingdom. His mission is to equip Christian founders with the practical business expertise and leadership capacity needed to build organizations that reflect biblical values, solve meaningful problems, and/or create generational impact. Through teaching, coaching, speaking, and developing faith-based entrepreneurial ecosystems, Cyril is committed to raising a generation of Kingdom entrepreneurs who lead with excellence, integrity, innovation, and servant-hearted leadership.
